Michael and I made yummy taco salad the other night. I'm always amazed at how a few simple ingredients combined together just seem to hit the spot. We perfected the "pre-crushing" of chips so as to make consumption easier :) Michael and I always love cooking together and whipping up new creations! Sadly, we didn't take pictures of the chicken stroganoff we made on Sunday. Now that was scrumptious! We slightly altered a recipe we found in one of the cookbooks we got for our wedding, and it was a rousing success. Married life is a joy!

While the hubby was in Denver...
Before Michael left for a week long job training in Denver, we went to see UP! It was a wonderful Saturday date, even though we mixed up the time for the 3D feature and ended up seeing the 2D version instead. It was so fun and we got soaked running in the rain on the way back to our car!
I spent the week at my mother's house in Logan while Michael was in Denver, doing all sorts of things...
The neighbor's children that live next to my mother are the cutest. They always call my brother and my mother "Neighbor", but I'm the only one that they call by name, "Becca". Their mother was telling me the other day that Andrew asked her where my husband was and noted that I "spent the night again!"
Two of my dear friends, Jason and Jessica got married on June 26!!! They had the brilliant idea to have their reception the night before the wedding, and it was beautiful!

Jason's mother Candice playing a duet of "When I Fall in Love" with Jess' father Kirk. I almost cried, it was gorgeous.
Jess' sister Laura and her husband Bodie, graced the evening with their vocal stylings. They were the photographers at our wedding too. Love them!
Oh, forgot to mention that I got a new haircut! You can sort of see it here. I've been needing a change since growing it out so long for our wedding. Total of 4 inces gone, yay!
The newly married couple. I was grateful to attend the sealing and take part in all the festivities!

Welcome to the wonderful world of FOOD!
So, this week, I have found myself consumed with food blogging! I have searched all over this site, and throughout my perusing, have found some of the most interesting and scrumptious websites and blogs around! Those who know me know that I live to cook and watch Food Network on a daily basis, as it makes my life complete. Well, Michael makes my life complete, but food makes us all happy as a result of full tummies! Nonetheless, I'm really enjoying the world of blogging, as I have now discovered some finer aspects of it. It is definitely "educational"...Such a happy day :)

AGM 2009 in Puerto Rico!
So, Michael and I were able to travel to Puerto Rico for his work's Annual General Meeting (AGM) last week. His office paid for our flights, most of our food, and for a 4 day-3 night stay at the Ritz-Carlton of San Juan! We are so lucky that Michael is working for such a company! Although it rained every day we were there, we were able to still play on the beach and get some sun in the pool while playing and enjoying all the luxuries and fun of being in Puerto Rico! Following are many pictures from all our good times, from parties to a tour of historic San Juan!
We got all dolled up for a cocktail party/adults dinner at which we drank this amazing fruit punch and ate surf and turf followed by an assortment of exotic desserts. It was great!
On our last day in San Juan, we took a tour of a historic "castle" which was a major defense for the territory from water attack. It was rather windy when we arrived and there were people all around flying kites in the perfect weather!
This was inside a lookout onto the sea, the camera took the picture in a greenish tone because of the lack of light. I thought it was kinda spooky.
This was where the servants and soldiers used to eat, sleep, and spend time when they were not on patrol. You can see the 3 ovens where they used to cook their food.
Like a true guy, Michael found the cannons fascinating. Anything that goes "boom" is always entertaining!
We had many entertainers for our dinner in town, such as singing groups, dancers, and people dressed up in various outfits and standing on stilts!
