Michael and I have been so busy with traveling and flying that we've barely had a moment to sit and relax...or even blog! Now that we are spending our first full week in our apartment, we're actually going to able to establish somewhat of a routine. And part of that routine is beginning with the documentation of all the fun we've been having on our many adventures since the big day! So here are a few pictures from spending our honeymoon in Vermont. We spent a full week up in the Northeast area of the country, relaxing in a cabin that our friends let us borrow. It was wonderful and SO needed after all the crazy wedding plans and the constant "Go, Go, Go"! We went on nature walks, watched movies, cooked delicious meals, got to know the quaint town of Grafton, ate cheese, and traveled to various destinations such as the Ben & Jerry's factory in Waterbury, VT and Boston, MA! So, enjoy the photos...I wish they could fully display all the beauty around and all the fun we had spending time together!
Cereal Story: One morning, while eating breakfast, I found a flake in my Honey Bunches of Oats that looked like South America....
I think my favorite part of the entire "small town feel" was the fact that the village store had built in wooden shelves in which all the food was placed and also a dry cleaners in the back. It was quaint and adorable!
Doesn't that just look warm and cozy?
A visit to the Ben and Jerry's factory!!!

For those of us who took the tour, they gave out these super cool pins to display our love of all things ice cream!

If you look closely, you can sort of notice the $6 pair of jeans I bought at the GAP outlet. It was seriously the deal of the century, they were tucked away in the super clearance rack, new and fitting me perfectly!
I found some wild flowers around the cabin and made this arrangement for our dining table!

We made the 3 hour drive to Boston and visited the temple before seeing the sights on the town. I think it was one of my favorite days from the honeymoon!
We parked in the stake center parking lot which was just below the temple. There was this beautiful wooded walk up the hill once passing this sign...
We walked the Freedom Trail in Boston and it was amazing to learn more about our nation's history and see the places where many important events happened in our country. Very inspirational and a completely enjoyable way to spend a day.
We stumbled upon the Italian district and found some of the yummiest Italian food I've ever had. It was interesting to walk down the street and feel like I was right in "The Godfather". :P
Last views of our cabin and barn before we left to head back home to Utah!!! It was a wonderfully relaxing honeymoon and I loved every second of it. What a great husband I have!
Darn! Looks like you missed the best Boston attraction of all... Massachusetts General Hospital! Yep. We spent a whole day there, ourselves. Maternity ward. 24 weeks pregnant. Carter tried to come early while we were on a business trip. Long story short... he was obviously not born in MA, but it was our first stop after getting of the airplane... ah the memories. LOVE Boston.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I noticed this placed called "Christmas in New England". Please tell me you bought something there for your poor holiday-deprived mother! Wah!!!
