The Missing Link

So this is Mike posting. Yeah I know, even though this blog is MikeLeKID Rebecca really has taken it over and posts more than I do. Anyway we were chatting this evening and eventually we got talking about my little brother Leland who is on a LDS mission in England. Rebecca and I went on our first date about a week before Leland left so he never had a chance to meet her. So talking about him tonight, I got really excited for Leland to finally meet this new family member he's only seen on Skype a couple of times for the holidays calls home and for Rebecca to meet this "Missing Link" person in the family she's only heard about. I am also excited that Leland says that he wants to attend USU when he returns. This means that he and I would both be attending USU for one semester, then I will be graduating and moving away.

  1. I'm just now catching up on your blog... first Rebecca, glad you enjoyed the concert, and second, I seem to remember being in Rebecca's exact position maybe 4 or 5 years ago. I met Scott about two weeks after Michael left on his mission, and Michael came home to a married brother with a sister in law he had only talked to on the phone and read letters from... hmmm... I'm sure Leland will be more welcoming to Rebecca than Michael was to me. :) I seem to remember him just saying over and over that it was gross that his brother loved a girl. And any time Scott would kiss me our touch me me would have to say something about it. Remember that, Michael?? :) Leland is great and very loving, Rebecca, I'm sure you'll love him, and I'm sure he'll be warm and accepting toward you. :)

  2. Haha. I'm not surprised at Michael reacting to you that way. I'm sure he thought nothing but wonderful things about you when he came home, but was in the "I still feel like a missionary and girls are icky" stage. He does tend to be a bit antagonistic sometimes, it's funny to think that he said it was gross that Scott loved a girl. Oh Michael, he was so niave back then! How the tables have turned ;)
